Bonjour tout le monde ! Bienvenue à mon petit blog.
I am back to blogging after a while and this time I’m going to be sharing mostly about my language learning adventures and food (specifically cultural foods and other fun aspects of food).
I also want to share practical and fun resources on how to start speaking and listening in other languages (because things like this alongside the structured grammar etc is what helped me finally learn to speak French conversationally although I’m rusty now).
I’m a normal language learner not a professor (aka not a grammar queen) but I’ve learned so much about language that I’m excited to share in the most relatable way I can…. coaching and encouraging you through your language learning journey (if you’re on that path as well). Or you can just follow along for the food or the fun. That’s cool too.
This is going to be an old school type of blog because I’m going to write very casually but will also be working to keep it organized so that if you do follow along you can easily find resources and things that I share.
I’ve studied French before but I’m starting over and this time my goal is to have a solid understanding on an A1 level. I might take the DELF exam one day but for now I will be using practice resources online to test my level. The challenge I’m giving myself for this level is to only use free resources and to study the recommended 100 hours.
Languages have always been fun to me and they are a key to opening up new conversations and new perspectives. I’m excited for this.
Alright, it’s getting late (9:45 pm) so I’m going to sign off for now. Let’s see how this goes!
Thanks for joining in on my journey.
