Here are a few of my current favorites! I want to start doing monthly favorites because I enjoy watching those videos on YouTube but I didn’t want to wait until the end of the month to share.
Siggis Yogurt:

This first one was a Cambria Joy recommendation… when she described the flavor in one of her grocery hauls (On YouTube) it sounded amazing. I’d been curious about Siggis yogurt for a while but didn’t think it was worth trying because it’s just another brand with a slightly different taste. Why would I try this yogurt out of all the other multiple types of yogurt to try? Also unless it’s French yogurt I’m interested but not too curious about what other yogurts taste like. This yogurt has been such a treat this week. It’s got the health benefits of Greek yogurt with that added bit of flavor to make it more enjoyable. It’s very fresh tasting and vanilla is one of my favorite flavors. I’ve been having this with a bit of raw honey drizzled on top, or alongside a little fruit. But it tastes good on its own too.
Rose Water:

Next up we have my Organic Bulgarian Rose Water mist toner. I got this as a gift from my family for either my birthday or Christmas. It was a special request. There are two reasons this one on my list.
Reason 1 is a few years back I was talking with a woman from the middle east (it was supposed to be a language exchange but since I wasn’t learning Arabic…I was learning French) we just went through different conversations in English. Those were some of the deepest casual conversations I’ve ever had and in one of the conversations we talked about natural remedies in our culture and rose water came up. She was saying where she is from people use rose water to help calm them down…like if someone has recently passed away, they will add some rose water to their water and have them drink it.
Reason 2 is, I was and still am interested in skin care. Although my perspectives on skincare is changing to being more holistic and minimal at the time I was more focused on a routine…and toners was one of the things on my list of must haves. I made a green tea toner but didn’t like having the extra steps of having to make it myself. I also didn’t want to buy a toner loaded with unnecessary chemicals…so something simple like this rose water was appealing to me. I keep it in the fridge and when I spray it on my face now I use it more just for the refreshment and I’m not really thinking about it was a toner. It’s very calming…and helps to reduce stress.
RiseWell mineral toothpaste:

I was having trouble finding a floride free toothpaste I actually liked and was dealing with some irritation in my mouth…so I did my research to learn more about teeth and toothpaste and found that there are minerals that help your teeth and oral health. It’s a little more than just focusing on not having fluoride in toothpaste (there’s already a lot of opinions on floride out there so I won’t talk about that haha). I’d seen one of my Instagram fiends post about this toothpaste before it had come up in my research, so I decided to pay a little extra to try it out myself. I wasn’t expecting it to help and it to be so “fresh”. I don’t know much about toothpaste but just thought I’d share…so far this is my favorite toothpaste.
Homegrown Avocados:

I have never had a giant home grown avocado before so I had nothing to compare it to. But this was the most amazing and savory avocado I’ve had in my life. The friend who gifted it to me also brought me a homegrown mango last time and that was one of the best mangos I’d had in my life, different but yummy. The flavor of the avocado is just slightly different but in a good way. She described it as slightly sweet…and I guess it does have a hint of sweet…it’s more earthy than the avocados I’ve had before….the flavor is more even and I can literally eat it plain with a pinch of salt and be satisfied. Normally avocados doesn’t have enough flavor for me to do that…I always want to add them to avo toast or have them alongside something.
