This week was about adventure and being present here on O’ahu. I’ve really been praying to see if God wants me in this specific part of Hawaii longer term. I was thinking I would be on another island by now, so I really decided to slow down and explore. At the beginning of the week I went exploring around the South shore and Honolulu with someone I was connected with before I got here, and her two kids. We had fun and I learned that there are so many Japanese foods I didn’t even know existed. Also this week I was able to remember one of my main focuses is to see where I want/need to get plugged into dance ministry on O’ahu, so I’ve been following up with people on that.

My Favorite Things:
Learning to have hope that is based in God and not in my goals.
Adventuring along the South Shore and in Honolulu. It was nice having people to show me around and enjoy the day with.
THE NORTH SHORE. I was not expecting it to be as fun as I thought. I really liked Haliewa Bowls (a smoothie bowl place).
My Least Favorite Things/Things to Pray About:
Having so many life changes happening in my life and the lives of people around me. It’s a little too much…which leads to the next thing…
Having to make so many decisions on long/short term things.
The culture shock and learning curve of being here is just something to be accepting of at this point. I’m trying to be okay with the fact that every day I’m learning a bunch of new things.
moving update: focusing on O’ahu for now and seeing how I can just slow down and enjoy being here.
job update: got more connections and insights on where to apply. I took a break from actively searching this week and am getting back to it next week. I’ve been doing some online work, but mostly just in a transition phase.
