Aloha! Since I’m currently living in a different state (will explain that in another post), I thought it would be cool to do weekly recaps each Saturday sharing my experiences with others.
So here’s the first one.
What this week looked like:
I planned for a lot of rest/recharge time going into this week so I could slowly get adjusted. I took naps, which I normally don’t do and I’m still tired from so many new things happening in such a little amount of time
My favorite things:
having to trust God on a whole other level
I got a lei!
the nature~ especially the beach and the rain
the community (ohana is important here)
the food!
rest
so many opportunities
My least favorite things/things to be praying about:
the tension (politically/culturally + me being somewhere new)
culture shock
feeling overwhelmed and tired
moving update: so long story short I’m in O’ahu now waiting for the opportunity to move over to Kauai (I’ll save that story for another time)
job update: starting to focus on my business again, heard back from and applied to a bunch of jobs. Almost everyone is hiring right now.
In summary this week felt like a week but it also felt like 5 years. So much changed and God was my constant. This is just a little snapshot of my week, I could go on about: meeting new friends, getting lost, and all the chickens but I’m just going to keep it short today.
me ke aloha!
with love!
